We are going to be substituting one bottle per day with formula to try to fatten them up. By the way...we are so blessed. Our little miracles come home on Tuesday. We can hardly wait. Keeping you in our thoughts!!

kariThe Mamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07569927505531393510noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13214904.post-68627247133804009802007-11-05T10:13:00.000+11:002007-11-05T10:13:00.000+11:00He really is progressing! Lots of good vibes going his way - and as for the bottle, like you say, he's gaining weight and doing well. No point in making things harder :-)Pixxieehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00754587423106234555noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13214904.post-13639742369178616202007-11-05T06:10:00.000+11:002007-11-05T06:10:00.000+11:00So glad to hear that he is doing well. It's hard enough to pump when you are only doing it sometimes, it must be a million times harder to do it all the time! Too hard to make supply equal demand and all that.
Your time is better spent with that beautiful boy of yours, making sure he is well taken care of! Hope he learns fast so he can come home!PCOSMamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11614791584850988099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13214904.post-57418589040019962362007-11-04T11:40:00.000+11:002007-11-04T11:40:00.000+11:00Wow, great he's doing so well! It was frustrating ...I hope he catches on quickly. It was frustrating for me with my little girl because they would only try feeding for about 5 min, then poor the rest down the feeding tube. They said they didn't want her to burn too many calories trying to eat.

I hope he catches on quickly and is out of their soon. If he gets to the point(and I pray he doesn't) that feeding issues are the only thing keeping him hospitalized, don't be afraid to insist on a g-tube so he can go home. I'm sure he will catch on quickly and be home soon. Just stay on the nurses to work with his bottle feeding and occupational or speech therapy should visit a couple times a day to work with him on feedings.

Sorry for the unsolicited advice, but I've been there before, so just wanted to pass on the info.

Take it one day at a time. NICU stays are so frustrating.Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18233167070552116572noreply@blogger.com
