Graduation Day

A milestone was reached today. I have officially left the care of my IVF clinic. The past 7 weeks have been a flurry of early morning blood draws, progesterone weaning and thankfully, cleared hurdles.
At 10w6d today my body is doing just as it should. It is producing all the required hormones and supporting the tiny life within me.
It was a relief of sorts making my last phone call but also nostalgic. Had I really come this far? Yep, I had.
I thanked the nurse sincerely for her wonderful care & asked her to extend my regards to all the staff. Emotion gripped me as I signed off and without even thinking I said "I'll see you again in the future". What a bold statement! But lately the future feels bright. I sense it's warmth. And I relish the thought of tomorrow...because it brings me one step closer to you, my darling child.

Ohhh - the bright future. You're right, it IS warm. Who knew? I'm so thrilled for you Mony. A few months ago I googled some random fertility sentence ... and found your blog. Which, in turn, led me to other blogs. Then I began my own. So thank you!!

I am truly happy and excited for you. Congratulations on graduating from your IVF clinic .. with flying colours! xox

Mony- I am so happy for you! Go you! I know its bittersweet, but look at it this way- now you can enter your OBGYN's office and not feel sad when you see a bunch of pregnant women ( it used to get me so sad) How exciting! Sending you sweet thoughts and strength!

Hey there Mony, just found your lovely blog through your comment at mine, thanks! And congrats on your pregnancy, I've just read the past few months and you've had me laughing and crying at the same time. For the first time I kinda know what you mean, your post "Old Question, New Answer" from 8 May especially was beautiful. I'll be following your pregnancy with glee! I'm so nervous and scared that everything is going as it should. No puking for me yet, damn.
