Good Mum

At 35 years of age I still need my Mum.

I do find it hard to ask for help, so luckily my Mum gives help frequently, efficiently & without being asked. She is a devoted Nanny to her 5 grandchildren & very present in all their lives.

....however she selfishily took herself away on holidays & I'm feeling the heat without her.
Cooper, the crankiest duck, had me completely worn out last week. After many sleepless, fussy hours & at my wits end I packed the car, strapped in the child & drove to Nanny's holiday haven, about 90 minutes away.
On arrival, she took Cooper & sent me to bed....I slept for 9 precious hours & felt like a new woman! I headed home the next morning, refreshed & ever grateful to my darling, wonderful Ma.
Let's hope she doesn't take her next vacation overseas.

Love that! What a great mom you have. In turn, you are going to be great, as you've obviously learned from the best!

ohhh you lucky thing. ( :( *sob sob*) I am very jealous. I so wish my mum or dad were alive to help me. It is now that I am missing them more than ever. Enjoy her! Cooper - you might be the crankiest duck on the block but you are still the cutest little tacker!

My mom's awesome too. She offered to take my little guy for the weekend, but when it came time, I couldn't bear him leaving that long. I remember her staying the night a my house his first surgery and took the night shift so I could sleep. What an angel!

"There once was a cranky duckling, his face all covered in kisses. His Mummy and his Daddy said "don't be a cranky duckling" and he just said "Get me my damn milk"." lol a silly ditty - it started as a song, was going to be a little story book and ended up just being that. (although the crankiest duckling would make a fantastic kids story!)
