Magic
Karitane.
They came.
They saw.
They left.
...left me with a glossy pamphlet, a serious talking to and a whole new game plan. Like a shrill Supernanny episode...it is working.
My son is sleeping.
For hours upon hours.
I am completely gobsmacked. It's all so simple. Cooper goes to bed without a bottle, without his music box, without his pillow & without his on-demand Mother.
I just had to stay strong enough to let him cry it out. Scream & bellow & wail it out, actually. It wasn't easy...but it wasn't difficult either. When he woke through the 1st night I clutched my pillow, said a prayer out loud & watched the minutes of mayhem tick by on my clock. 12 long minutes passed before there was delightful silence. Each waking episode was handled the same way and 3 nights in he is sleeping 8 hours straight. I am giddy.

I was syaing how I have to manually restrain my hubby from going in to every small protest at bedtime because the twins sleep so much better if they DON'T associate a sook with instant out of cot. :)

Oh Mony. Oh HEF.
That photo! Look at his beautiful long legs! He is so gorgeous!
And yay on the sleep, omfg I can feel your relief from here!! :)
Congrats on the sleeping through the night. Isn't it wonderful? Sigh.
I can't believe how much he looks like a toddler in that picture. I mean, I know that technically he is a toddler, but he isn't that much older than my boys and well...they are all getting so big! (that was long winded, sorry)
It is good to hear from you!
Congratulations! I remember going through CIO with our daughter when she was a baby. My DH was so wonderful. He'd lie there and hold my hand while we listened to those 15 minutes of crying. But like you said - it got better!!! and she slept!!!!
yippee!!!! nothing like a good night's sleep for EVERYONE in the house. I hope it continues.!!!
he is such a beautiful little boy.
