Blue or Lamb..
I cleared out his wardrobe. He has outgrown 40 percent of his clothes. I am handing down lots of outfits to my girlfriend who has a brand new bub. I have a stack of things for the
charity bin. And then there's the 20 or so outfits I just can't part with.
Eg: The shirt & short combo he wore home from the hospital.
Size 00000.
I remember the day he was discharged from the NICU. I could not wait to dress him in normal clothes. It was such a thrill. I recall my woe when the nurses told me he'd need a bath & check up before we went home. I had to strip him promptly...fearing that we'd never, ever escape that damn NICU.
All of a sudden Cooper seems too grown up to wear cutsie clothes. He would feel silly in a teddy bear t-shirt or rabbit onesie. He's all cargo pants & hoodies. Jeans & polo's.
I keep playing the scene from "Look Who's Talking?" in my head. The part where Molly asks Mikey if he wants to wear 'The Blue or the Lamb?" and Mikey says "They both look pretty lame! Don't make me wear clothes with animals on them! I look like a retard!"
Don't worry son, the very worst you can expect is knitwear.
You know I am a complete sucker for a hand knitted cardigan or pullover. I know you'll look back at your baby photo's and groan at the clothes I made you wear. We all do that. We all ask our Mother's if they were insane to dress us like that. And take us out in public.
It's just that you do the preppy look so well.
Suave. Funky. Downright respectable.
And look....there's not a lamb in sight.

Oh and more like you every day !
He's so cute!!!
Here's a thought for the baby clothes you can't part with:

It's a kit to make a quilt out of all of those clothes. For some extra $$ they will even sew it for you (which, to this mom, is sounding like a better and better idea with each passing month!).
I think my son is going to end up with quite a few of these quilts, he's five months and I've already got an awful lot of clothes that I can't part with!

He does wear the preppy clothes very well, but I so love the colorful kids clothes!
Yes but it';s knitted from lambs (well, sheep. actually wool, not the entire animal!)I have clothes of Tricky's I can't bear to part with...at least not until I've been buried under an avalanche of too small clothes....
Oh my goodness Cooper, could you get any cuter!!
(I love that movie and I am always saying the lines in my head nowadays)
he is just gorgeous Mony!!
Awwww...that is one handsome kid...in a handsome outfit!
It's outrageous how they grow out of their clothes. Baby Eggs is so tall she is in Size 3 tops and she's only 2.
I loved that part in Look Who's Talking: "NOOoo! Not the lamb! I said 'LAME!!!'"
Cooper is perfect. I could eat him up.
Please post more. We miss you, Mony, my dear.
:)
-D.
he just gets cuter everyday doesn't he....
Happy Almost 10 Months!!!
