Weigh In.

The home nurse came & weighed Cooper. He is now 2.5 kilo's (5.5 pounds)and is sporting a double chin.

The 3 hourly feeds are pretty crazy. Especially the night ones. Oh the weariness! Cooper wakes & screams like he is being prodded with a hot poker. Until I pick him up. Then I change his nappy and he screams like I am breaking his legs. Until he is picked up. As I prepare his bottle he screams like he is being made to watch "Dynasty" re-runs. Until I put the milk to his lips. Then the fussing ceases & he declares all is well in the world.
It is strangely amusing to watch a little boy have a major blow up.....and then calm down in an instant.

Spoilt?....Possibly!
Adorable?...Absolutely!

Cute as! hehe - people used to ask me if I withheld feeds from Alex with all the "i have never been fed before - honest!" screams he would do. I used to love the frantic "where is the bottle" thing he would do seeking the bottle with his mouth where it would frantically move from side to side.

oh they grow so fast. Cooper is doing great. Alex is now 4 months and at weigh in tomorrow I expect him to be well over 6 kgs!

Sounds like you are doing great. Have you thought about changing his nappy after his bottle (or when he's nearly done)? Because I've found she doesn't scream when I'm changing her if she's full, and also she often fills her nappy during a feed. Worth a try?

Thalia may have an idea with the diaper-after-feeding thing. We often had to change our daughter a second time after she ate. We had no choice but to change her before eating in the beginning because we were on a forced feeding (every 3 hours) schedule at night from the pediatrician (she lost a lot of weight in the beginning) so the diaper change was our way of waking her up enough to eat. Since Cooper seems to be awake and ready to eat, you can try the change after.... then again, it might make it harder to get him back to sleep.

He really is adorable Mony! I can't believe he is still so small - I'm trying to picture holding such a little guy and I can't imagine it. He must be just like a little porcelain doll! Except he cries and poops. ;)

Blogger keeps eating my comments - which is a shame, as they are so witty.

Mony your son is BEAUTIFUL. Go the double chin - he'll be sporting a Life. Be in It. T-shirt soon ...

Thanks so much for your kind words - 2 weeks ago I went straight to your mofo experience with a FALSE high risk result, felt like I was sharing it all with you! Look how divine Cooper is - high risk my arse. xoxoxxooxxo

So freakin precious I could just eat him. Well I wouldn't honestly... my baby has made it to 6 months and I haven't taken so much as a nibble. But honestly he is beautiful

Simple reasoning for him quieting rapidly as soon as the food hits his lips...he is male. Mine at 19,17 and 13 still fuss till they get food :) Before you know it he will be laughing at his own burps and longing for the remote control for the TV.

He is absolutely beautiful (in a very boy way of course:)
