RIGHT on! LEFT out!

Day 8 Stims. The injecting is much easier than I'd dared to hope.
I had an ultrasound today and yet more bloods.
News in: Right Ovary gets an A+.... doing nicely with approx. 20 follicles. Left Ovary gets a D- managing only 1 follicle and 2 cysts. Manky little thing.
Praise be for my over-compensating right ovary.
Monday, repeat bloodtest & ultrasound. Probably schedule retrieval for Wednesday.
It's all happening so fast!
My head is spinning.........with outrageous baby thoughts.

I am day-dreaming, all the time. I think about nurseries & tiny outfits. I think about babies.
About our baby. I'm sure it's a bad idea to be this hopeful.

Must...Not...Lose...My....Head......must not.

Well, there's no doubt that you're responding to treatment. I hope retrieval goes well and they get a good portion of those follicles.

Mony, babe, you are a egg producing queen! Silly left ovary just didn't get the memo. Thank goodness right ovary is one of the Type A workaholics.

Won't be long now. I'm so excited for you!
-D.

Wow what an over-achiever. 20 is fantastic.
Don't worry about the retrieval - it'll be fine.

You know, my left ovary has always been an underachiever too and recently, I was perusing the internet and found a whole discussion on another infertility website where women were all discussing their lazy left ovaries. What's the deal with that??

Well, thank goodness for that right ovary. Right On!

Wessel! For real?? That is hilarious! The lazy left ovary club! I'm gonna leave that one alone.. with my existing didelphys uterus & IVF membership my social calendar is already overflowing! Thanks for sharing that, gave me a giggle!
PS: Wonder if anyone has drama's with their right ovaries?

Oh Mony, I do so hope retrieval and freakin' fertilization all go well for you. It's hard not to get wrapped up in baby thoughts. And there's no need for you to push those thoughts away right now either. It could all become reality real soon.

Good stats on your right ovary. When I was doing clomid there was always one ovary that did better than the other.
As for baby thoughts, it is impossible not to have them. Baby shopping (not for babies but for related products!) is meditative for me at the moment.

The same thing happened to me, except in reverse. My right ovary was the one that gave us all the finger and decided to not participate.

Don't worry, sounds like that working ovary is really churning out those eggs. Best of luck at your retrieval!
