Bawl. Howl. Blubber.

Seen this? Holy. Shit.
A beautiful song all about us (infertiles)...... And a very moving film clip to boot.

Keep in mind there is a BIG chance you will cry watching this. So if red eyes & soggy tissues aren't going to fit in with your agenda...maybe watch it later.
I. Can't. Pull. Myself. Together!

Thank you Catherine!

Thanks for sharing... I don't even have to say that I cried (still crying actually).

You said I'd cry, but I went and watched it anyway... I am definitely crying.

Thanks for sharing that. The husband asked me why I would watch something that I knew would make me cry. Sometimes the connection is worth the tears.

By the way -- Thank Fuck is a lovely name, really.

Oh Mony, I usually really don't like this kind of super over-the-top american sentimental songs, but yes indeed, crying. This pretty much sums up all our blogs combined.

sorry to be the one not crying, but i couldn't get over my irritation over the connection between teenagers having abortions or being sexually active and the line regarding infertility that comes right after - "i would die for that".
i know how many opinions there on this, and how everyone is entitled to whatever bent they take on the issue, but for me, this ruined the song. no matter how much pain i was in while trying to conceive or going through infertility treatments, i never felt envy or resentment at the crappy situation of being a teenager and getting pregnant. or being 16 and scared shitless waiting for an abortion.

the rest of it was lovely as she pinpoints all those moments that are dreamed of like telling your husband, watching a newborn sleeping etc and how badly a person can want that. i just wish she had left the conservative judgements at the beginning out of what was a very pretty and sensitive song.

Thanks Mony...I loved it...and I cried...and you know, how cool is it to actually have US out there. A lot of folks in this world have no idea how much it hurts. Yeah, I would die for that.

I think perhaps it was my blog, since you left me a comment :) I'm so glad it's being shared. A girl on one of the boards I'm on shared it and it just fit. I'm very glad to read that you heard good news about your baby, what an ordeal to go through, and what a relief it must have been to hear the results. Best wishes to you for a very UNeventful and safe pregnancy.

To Alice
I have to reply to you. I really have to!

Teenage sex, which often occurs unprotected, can lead to STD's such as gonorrhoea and chlamydia. These can cause infection in the fallopian tube - which the woman will be unaware of until she fails to conceive, or had an eptopic pregnancy. Abortion can also cause infection in the fallopian tubes. So, my advice to young people (and I have been there) is to always protect yourself...because you may be protecting your future fertility.

Sorry Mony, it just HAD to be said.

I'm crying too even though we're finally about to be able to start the adoption paperwork for our little guy.
